Renee’ Glover, Tyler County Board of Education

Renee' Glover

Hello Tyler County!

My name is Renee’ Glover and I am running for Tyler County Board of Education.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Claysville PA, just over the WV line. 25 years ago, I married a Tyler County native and about 10 years ago we moved to Tyler County to be close to his family. We have a little farm with a few cows, a bunch of chickens and a mess of rabbits that run wild. Now that I have collected my West Virginia heart, I have no desire to ever leave.

I never thought I would be running for any office. That was always something that other people did.

People who wanted the public eye. Well, after 50+ years of watching other people either mess it up, or just go along to get along, I realized that it was time to step up. I have been watching our school system, the whole system, not just Tyler, fail our kids for a very long time.

We need to get back to basics. Our children are falling behind on the most basic things. They have trouble with basic math, giving change, reading, their writing skills are terrible, and they can’t fill out an application for a job, at least not legibly. Some have trouble signing their name to a legal document. We need to change that and it really can’t happen soon enough.

I am willing to step up and fight for our kids education. Are you willing to give me the chance?

If you have questions, feel free to message me on Facebook. Just look for the grumpy face. – Renee’ Glover
