Tyler County Speedway releases 2026 schedule

MIDDLEBOURNE – Tyler County Speedway is proud to announce its 2026 racing season schedule, featuring a diverse lineup of weekly racing, marquee touring series, memorial events and special attractions. Known as “America’s Baddest Bullring”, Tyler County Speedway continues its long-standing tradition of competitive dirt track racing while offering fans an action-packed calendar from March through September. (All dates and events are subject to change.)

MARCH

March kicks off the 2026 season with two Open Practice sessions March 14 [UPDATE: Practice delayed a day, to Sunday, March 15, for much better weather!] and March 21, the latter also featuring the annual Joe Dirt Enduro. The official racing season opener takes place March 28 with the 52nd Annual Season Opener, showcasing all weekly racing classes plus Mod Lites.

PRACTICE SESSIONS
The sessions are for all classes as teams prepare for the upcoming season. The first practice was slated Saturday, March 14, but delayed a day, to Sunday, March 15, for much better weather! Gate opens at noon and practice runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a second practice Saturday, March 21: pit gates open at noon and practice beginning at 3 p.m.

The March 21 event will also feature the fan-favorite Joe Dirt Enduro following practice. The 50-lap race will pay $300 to win, $200 for second, and $100 for third, with a minimum of 15 cars required to run the event. A $20 registration fee applies.

All drivers must complete registration and have a transponder before entering the track.

General admission for both practice days is free. Pit passes are $30, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free in the pits. Mini Wedge drivers receive free pit admission for the driver only and must obtain an armband at the track office.

APRIL

April brings a mix of regional touring series and weekly competitions. April 4, fans will see 410 Sprints, Ohio Valley Street Stocks, and Mod Lites in action, with no Hot Mods or 4 Cylinders competing that night. Racing resumes April 18 with the Ohio Valley Steel Blocks Pat Herrick Memorial, including Mod Lites and excluding Pro Late Models. April 24 will host KOI Drag Races with no regular racing program, followed by a full night of regular racing for all classes plus Mod Lites April 25.

MAY

May is loaded with major events and memorial races. The month opens May 2 with the ULMS Earl Hill Memorial Topless 50 for Late Models and the UEMS Modifieds Topless 30, featuring all classes going topless (4cyl will race but not remove any tops). May 9, Ultimate Pro Late Models will headline alongside the Tammy Clegg Memorial for Hot Mods followed by all classes and with the addition of Mod Lites. May 16 showcases the Hot Mod Working Man World Championship and Sport Mod Working Man World Championship with all classes and an Enduro. KOI Drag Races return May 22 with no regular racing, followed by Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series action May 23 featuring all classes. The month wraps up May 30 with Ohio Valley Steel Blocks and Street Stocks, with no Pro Late Models.

JUNE

June continues the momentum with the Mid-Season Championship June 6, awarding double points for all classes plus Mod Lites. June 20 hosts the American Heritage “Giving Cancer the Black Flag” event featuring all classes plus Mod Lites. The month concludes June 27 with the Night of Destruction, brought to you in coordination with Stixx Up Promotions, including a demolition derby, enduro and ATV barrel racing, with other barrel racing classes TBD.

JULY

July delivers marquee events and fan favorites. July 4 features the American All Stars Eaton/Childers King of the Ring, along with WRA Mini Wedges competing in the PJ “Buckwheat” Wright Memorial, and racing for all classes. July 18, fans can enjoy Pack the Track and Autograph Night with $5 general admission, highlighted by the Scott Irvin Memorial and all classes in competition. July 25 brings the Renegade Monster Trucks to Tyler County Speedway with shows at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m!

AUGUST

August begins with Tyler County Fair Week, running July 27 through Aug. 1. Championship night arrives Aug. 15 with the Season Championship, featuring the Bud Weigle Memorial for Super Lates, Bob Butcher Mod Lite Memorial and racing for all classes. Special events continue with the highly anticipated Country Roads Weekend starting Aug. 27 with an Open Practice for all classes and pit parking. Practice is followed by a multi-day racing weekend Aug. 28 through 30. Friday night features preliminary events for ULMS Late Models and UEMS Modifieds, plus Hot Mods, 4 Cylinders, and Mod Lites, and full shows for Sport Mods and Ohio Valley Street Stocks. The Ultimate Pro-Late Models will have practice only. Saturday includes full shows for Ultimate Pro Late Models, Sport Mods, Mini Wedges, and feature events for ULMS Late Models, UEMS Modifieds, Hot Mods, 4 Cylinders, and Mod Lites. The weekend concludes Sunday, Aug. 30, with the Country Roads 100, featuring ULMS Late Models, Ultimate Pro Late Models, and Sport Mods.

SEPTEMBER

September closes the 2026 season Sept. 12 with KOI Drag Races, with no regular racing scheduled.

Regular racing at Tyler County Speedway throughout the 2026 season includes Super Late Models, Ultimate Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Sport Mods, Hot Mods, 4 Cylinders, Senior Mini Wedges, and Junior Mini Wedges. These classes compete every race weekend unless otherwise specified on the official schedule.

TYLER COUNTY SPEEDWAY
Since 1974, the Tyler County Speedway has hosted some of the biggest motorsports events in the region. Under the management of Next Generation Promotions, the ‘Bullring’ operates weekly March through September featuring several special events.
