These leases, located largely in Marshall and Wetzel counties, include producing wells in addition to undeveloped acreage. It apparently does not, however, include the rights to drill on the West Virginia state-owned property under the Ohio River. Gastar is the same company that in late 2014 won the right to drill under the Ohio River and was to have paid the State of West Vir- ginia an estimated $749,000 to $812,000 for those drilling rights.
