The consideration of a new truck, or an alternate means of garbage collection, was originally slated for the agenda of a special meeting July 27 when the engineers working on the water project were to give an update on the progress of tying into the Tyler County Water Dis- trict’s wells in Friendly. However, that meeting was canceled at the request of the engineering firm, who wished to address the city water board first before pre- senting to council. In the mean time, the problematic main garbage truck the city uses for collection broke down again, leaving the city without pickup for several days.
